President Mirziyoyev signed Measures for further development of the transport and logistics system of Uzbekistan Decree Monday.

The Uzbekistan transport and logistics system development concept 2030 and the Roadmap for its implementation were approved.

The main target figures and indicators were set, including:

  • at least doubling the total volume of international cargo transportation by road, rail and air transport;
  • doubling export of transport and logistics services by up to 2 times;
  • increasing the share of cargo transportation in containers by at least 1.5 times;
  • increasing Uzbekistan's position in the World Bank's Logistics Performance Index (LPI) to 55th or above.

zero rate VAT shall be applied to transport and forwarding services for international cargo transportation.

From June 1, 2025, an electronic queuing system for vehicles will be adopted at vehicle checkpoints across the state border.

A regional training center for the training and advanced training of personnel in the field of international road transport will be set up in cooperation with the International Road Transport Union.

Roadside service facilities (Service areas and Service points) will be erected along public roads.
