The Cabinet of Ministers issued the Amendments and Addenda to some of its Resolutions. The following amendments have been inserted into the passport of the work permit in the territory of Uzbekistan.
The work permit must include:
- document confirming the hiring of a specialist, a foreign citizen in industrial sectors specified in the List of Foreign Specialists to be Hired in Industrial Sectors, approved by the decree of the President of Uzbekistan No. PP-286 dated August 7, 2024;
- for specialists such as process engineers, designers, marketers involved from prestigious international brands - a document confirming their work in a prestigious international prestigious organization. No fee is charged for issuing a permit.
- for foreign citizens hired as specialists by brand partners and national brand owners, the validity period of the document confirming the right to carry out labor activities in the territory of Uzbekistan shall be determined by the contract validity term, but not more than three years.
Also, according to the amendment to the Regulation on the Procedure for State Registration of Business Entities, a legal entity will be re-registered if it is recognized as the winner of an electronic online auction to implement an investment project in a special economic zone.
