Tashkent hosted the next working meeting of officials of the water and energy systems of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan Sunday.
According to the Ministry of Energy, it was attended by the Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov, the Minister of Water Resources of Uzbekistan Shavkat Khamroev, the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Yerlan Akkenzhenov, the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation of Kazakhstan Nurjon Nurzhigitov, the Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan Talaybek Ibraev and other senior officials.
The parties discussed ensuring the stable operation of the water and energy systems of the countries in the summer season and agreed upon the schedules of the operating modes of the networks.
In addition, they considered the projects being implemented jointly by the parties, in particular, the progress of the Kambarata HPP-1 project and coordinating the water and energy balance.
The meeting culminated in the signing of a relevant MoM and reached an agreement on the coordinated conduct of future events in the near future.
