Continuing fruitful cooperation, on May 26, the Embassy of Israel and the Israeli Agency for International Cooperation MASHAV donated to the Fergana branch of the RCSAC a hippo trainer for children with cerebral palsy - this is special equipment that improves coordination of movements and strengthens the weakened muscles of the child.

The product realistically imitates horse riding, activates the muscles of the body, limbs and musculoskeletal system. Cerebral palsy is the third most common disease among children (patients) of the center.

The donation was made during a visit of the Ambassador of the State of Israel Gideon Lustig to the Fergana region and a visit to the RCSAC branch.

During the visit to the Fergana branch and the transfer of the simulator, the Ambassador of the State of Israel Gideon Lustig noted that the Center shows sincere care for children and the dedication of the center’s team to their work. “This contribution is an example of Israel’s long-standing relationship with the center, as well as the introduction of Israeli advanced know-how and technologies in the field of pediatric medicine and therapy for our partner in Uzbekistan.

Barno Khasanovna Ismailova, director of the Fergana branch of the RCSAD, who herself is a graduate of the MASHAV courses held in Israel, noted the practical benefits of Israeli methods at a meeting with the ambassador and thanked Israel and the embassy for their active assistance and participation in the development of the center.

The Embassy of Israel and MASHAV have a long and fruitful history of cooperation with the RCSAC. In the beginning of this year, the staff of the Fergana branch participated in a training course for the staff of the Tashkent center and the Samarkand, Karshi and Fergana branches on the topic of “Working with children with autism spectrum disorders”, which was selected at the request of the RCSAC.

Israeli methods of adaptation of children with disabilities have been widely used in the RCSAC since the first years of the center’s existence, which provides comprehensive medical, social, psychological, pedagogical and advisory and legal assistance to children from socially vulnerable groups (children with disabilities, children left without parental care, as well as children at social and legal risk).
