Uzbekistan Airways will receive the delivery of two new narrow-body Airbus A321neo aircraft from its leasing partner CALC (China Aircraft Leasing Group) in 2026, the company said.
The aircraft will come from a direct order from CALC from Airbus. Their special feature will be a new cabin layout: 16 business class seats with a Full Flat configuration and 156 seats in economy class (the previous layout: 16 seats in business and 172 in economy class).
The Chairman of the BOD of Uzbekistan Airways Shukhrat Khudaykulov called the dlivery "not just an expansion of the fleet, but an important step towards creating a modern, competitive and convenient aviation system."
The aircraft will reportedly feature Airbus' new Airspace Premium cabin, which offers improved noise insulation, a spacious luggage compartment, increased headroom and modern LED lighting.
The aircraft will feature internet access, a modern entertainment system (movies, music, games and a flight map) accessible from individual screens.
The Airbus A321neo model features increased fuel efficiency, an increased flight range and reduced noise levels. This makes the aircraft ideal for medium- and long-haul routes.
