AI-based Situation Center has been commissioned in Tashkent to analyze and manage traffic flows, aiming to ease congestion and enhance traffic safety across the city.
According to the press service Interior Ministry, the administrative building of the Tashkent City Traffic Safety Department brigade has been overhauled and commissioned.
The overhauled complex includes parking areas, administrative offices, service rooms, a meeting hall, a shooting range, a museum, a library, a cafeteria, drill and training grounds, and repair workshops.
While, a Situation Center has been set up to digitize road safety, prevent traffic accidents, and forecast traffic congestion using modern technologies and artificial intelligence tools.
The newly implemented Intelligent Transportation Platform allows for real-time monitoring, analysis, and smart management of vehicle flow.
As a result, the center is expected to reduce congestion by up to 50%, save time, decrease road accidents, accelerate emergency service response timeliness, and enhance decision-making effectiveness through accurate statistical data.
Furthermore, the Tashkent Mayor's Office handed over 20 new GM Cobalt vehicles to the Traffic police and another 20 to the Patrol Service. These vehicles are specially equipped by the manufacturer with advanced devices and cameras integrated directly into the Situation Center.
The modern cameras installed on these vehicles are capable of identifying wanted individuals, stolen vehicles, and potential public safety threats, instantly sending alerts to the center. Additionally, the center has the ability to remotely manage and control all cameras installed in the service vehicles.
