The working group for the development of the Belarus-Russia-Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan multimodal transport corridor convened for an online meeting Thursday.

According to the Ministry of Transport, the meeting, which was attended by Deputy Transport Minister Jasur Choriev, touched upon the development of cargo transportation through the new multimodal transport corridor.

The parties agreed to mutually coordinate projects in the field of development of international transport corridors passing through the territory of the respective countries.

In November 2023, a memorandum of understanding was signed in Tashkent on the sidelines of the maiden transport forum of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries on creating and development of the Belarus-Russia-Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan international transport corridor.
