"Minor" explosion occurred at a field training ground in Nukus during a drill on Wednesday, UzA agency reported, citing the press service of the National Guard.
According to the agency, the explosion occurred due to the detonation cord of a special explosive device intended for training purposes.
As a result, 10 servicemen involved in the drill sustained injuries of varying severity. Eight of them were hospitalized.
All injured promptly received first aid and now they are receiving quality medical health, the statement added.
An official investigation has been ordered into this incident, with the relevant authorities conducting a probe.
