Video footage showing a fight between students at School No. 300 in Tashkent surfaced on social media. The Tashkent city preschool and school education branch commented on the situation.
The incident occurred on September 20. A verbal dispute between fourth-grade students escalated into a physical altercation. Five boys repeatedly punched and kicked their female classmate in various parts of her body.
The school administration notified the local policeman, the assigned inspector, and the psychologist. Following the investigation, the parents of the students involved were held administratively liable under Article 47 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Failure to perform obligations related to the upbringing and education of children).
Furthermore, to prevent such cases in the future, a meeting with parents and outreach activities were reportedly held, and disciplinary measures were taken against the school principal and responsible officials.
