The President of Finland Alexander Stubb will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on 30–31 October 2025. The President Stubb will meet President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Friday 31 October in Tashkent.
Discussions between the two Presidents will reportedly focus on the bilateral relations between Finland and Uzbekistan, geopolitics and its regional implications for Europe and Central Asia, Russia’s illegal war of aggression in Ukraine and cooperation in support of the multilateral system.
During his visit, Alexander Stubb will also attend a business seminar, give a lecture at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and meet foreign policy experts.
The President Stubb’s delegation will include Member of Parliament and Chair of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Uzbekistan Ville Skinnari. In addition, representatives of Finnish trade and industry will travel with the President.
The former President of Finland, Mauno Koivisto, made an official visit to Uzbekistan in 1992.
