The French Embassy in Uzbekistan held the first French Culture Month in Nukus from October 27 to November 30, 2025. Throughout this period, numerous multidisciplinary cultural events were held to celebrate the richness of cultural exchanges between France and Uzbekistan, and more specifically with the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
This program, organized in close collaboration with local institutions—the Savitsky Museum, the Nukus Conservatory, the Institute of Arts and Culture, the Berdakh Theater, the Academy of Fine Arts, as well as several schools—offered the public a series of screenings, exhibitions, concerts, artistic encounters, and master classes.
Through this initiative, the French Embassy in Uzbekistan aimed to promote education through culture, fostering dialogue, the transmission of knowledge, and mutual discovery among French, Uzbek, and Karakalpak artists, students, and audiences.
