Starting January 1, 2026, bills for solid waste removal services for individuals and legal entities in Uzbekistan will be paid exclusively online, the Agency for Waste Management and Development of the Circular Economy announced.
The agency added that the transition to cashless payments was aimed at creating a convenient and transparent payment system, as well as preventing corruption. The agency has already sent relevant directives to sanitation companies in Karakalpakstan, the provinces, and Tashkent city.
Payments and subscriber accounting for household waste removal services shall be made carried out through:
- Toza Makon billing system;
- electronic payment systems;
- in exceptional cases for settlements located in remote areas not provided with internet access – through bank branches and Uzbekistan Post offices.
