Average life expectancy in Uzbekistan is 73 years for men and 77.5 years for women. Shavkat Mirziyoyev said at a meeting with healthcare professionals.
The country is implementing a swift reform program for sustainable economic development, ensuring employment and income for the population, providing young people with better and accessible education and upbringing, and impoving public health.
In recent years, 230 trillion soums have been allocated to the sector. As a result, 187 new polyclinics and hospitals have been commissioned, and 1,244 facilities have been reconstructed and equipped.
The average life expectancy in Uzbekistan has increased: from 71 to 73 years for men, and from 76 to 77.5 years for women.
