Uzbekistan-bound remittances reached $15.8 billion from January to October, recording a 25% increase compared to the same period last year, the Central Bank said in a report Sunday.

This increase upped the supply of US dollars on the domestic market, growing by $7.8 billion, 1.4 times higher than the 2024 figure.

During this period, households sold $17.4 billion to commercial banks, 1.3 times more than the year before. While, individuals purchased $9.6 billion, increasing their foreign currency purchases by 24% compared to the previous year.

The volume of remittances sent from Uzbekistan abroad topped $2.2 billion, $147 million less than the 2024 figure.
