Cold anticyclone will remain in effect over Uzbekistan until at least December 5, Hydromet said. It will intensify from November 29, with atmospheric pressure rising and temperatures falling. Cold nights and slight daytime warming are expected, along with morning fog, typical of persistent anticyclonic weather.
Reportedly, the high-pressure area will remain in the country for the next 10 days. Previously, inversions were reported to persist until November 29; however, new forecasts indicate that with a persistent anticyclone, the inversion will last longer.
Under these conditions, dust, smoke, and fine particulate matter (PM) may accumulate, which could degrade air quality, as well as dense fog.
