President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, congratulated the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on his birthday over a telephone conversation Wednesday.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev particularly underscored the Azerbaijani leader’s historic role in strengthening the country's independence, unifying it, ensuring its sustainable development, and enhancing its international prestige.
The parties discussed the ways to further expand and strengthen the Uzbek-Azerbaijani friendship and alliance ties and commended outcomes of joint efforts during the current Year of Economic Cooperation.
They commended the growing bilateral trade figures, and projects in 20 areas which are in the active phase progressing as per the roadmap.
The two leaders also exchanged views on the international agenda and reviewed the schedule of upcoming events.
