In 2025, 7 out of every 10 passenger cars imported to Uzbekistan were exclusively electric vehicles. According to the Customs Committee, 56,832 electric cars were imported to Uzbekistan in 2025. This is by 136 percent (almost 2.4 times) more than in 2024.
While the total customs value of electric cars imported in 2024 topped $224.7 million, in 2025 this figure reached $701 million.
Not only the increase in import volumes, but also the import of relatively more expensive models played a role: in 2024, the average customs value of imported electric cars was $9,330, and in 2025 this value amounted to $12,340.
