The draft Uzbekistan-2030 strategy proposed a number of targets aimed at improving the labor migration system, supporting fellow countrymen working abroad and providing them with comprehensive assistance.
According to the draft, it is planned to increase the number of intergovernmental and interdepartmental labor migration treaties with other countries from 22 to 40. It has also proposed to increase the number of agreements with foreign companies for the purpose of vocational and language training and employment from 62 to 500.
The draft has also sets the goal of increasing the ratio of those who voluntarily registered when leaving the country, as well as those sent to work in an organized manner, to 15% of the total number of labor migrants.
Furthermore, in order to expand the scope of legal and financial assistance to find a job abroad, the number of representative offices of the Migration Agency will be increased from 4 to 9.
