On January 10, a serious incident occurred in the skies in the Shymkent area over Kazakhstan, NUR.KZ reported. Reportedly, on January 10, at approximately 5:42 a.m. Astana time, an aviation incident occurred in the A2I sector of the Shymkent Province Communications Center during handling of Pobeda Airlines PBD997 flight from Vnukovo to Samarkand and Uzbekistan Airways flight UZB9609 from Termez to Moscow.
According to regulations, this aviation incident is classified as a serious aviation incident, subject to investigation by the relevant investigative body.
The Ministry of Transport is forming a commission to investigate this serious aviation incident. The investigation period from the issuance of the order appointing the commission until the approval of the investigation report generally does not exceed three months, unless additional research or work is required.
