1,329 medical clinics were licensed and started operations in Uzbekistan in 2025, the Center for Licensing and Accreditation of Medical Organizations said.

Reportedly, the majority of clinics that started operations were in densely populated and economically active areas. In particular, 251 clinics started operations in Tashkent city, 169 in Fergana province, 129 in Samarkand province, 121 in Andijan province, and 117 in Kashkadarya province.

Also, 95 clinics started operations in Tashkent province, 91 in Bukhara province, 74 in Namangan province, 71 in Khorezm province, 62 in Surkhandarya province, 54 in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, and 50 in Navoi province.

In some provinces, including Jizzakh province, 30 clinics have started operations and Syrdarya province, 15 of which are still operational, indicating that there is still room for further development of private healthcare in these provinces, attracting investment, and expanding the scope of medical services.

Today, there are over 9,000 private medical institutions in Uzbekistan.
