President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will depart for an official visit to Turkey today, the presidential press service said. The program of his trip in Ankara includes the 4th meeting of the Bilateral Strategic Cooperation Council, chaired by the two heads of state.
The parties are expected to discuss the ways to expand Uzbek-Turkish comprehensive strategic partnership ties, focusing on developing political dialogue, increasing trade turnover, promoting cooperation projects in priority economic sectors, and strengthening transport connectivity.
The two leaders will also touch upon the international and regional problems.
The talks will culminate in signing of a substantial package of documents.
Furthermore, the two leaders will also attend in a number of humanitarian events.
