President Mirziyoyev signed a decree appointing Azizbek Ikramov as the Minister of Emergency Situations. Azizbek Ikramov previously served as Deputy Minister in three ministries, this is his fourth ministry in his career: in 2017-2019, he served as Deputy Minister of Defense in charge of Educational and Ideological Affairs, in 2019-2021, Deputy Interior Minister for Public Order, in 2020-2021, Deputy Minister for Makhalla and Family Support, and in 2019-2023, Deputy Interior Minister for Spiritual Affairs.
In the summer of 2023, during the President's visit to the Fergana province, he was transferred to the Provincial Police Department chief job.
Major General Botir Kudratkhodjaev previously worked in various positions in the prosecutor's office, and in 2017-2020, he served as Director of the Compulsory Enforcement Bureau under the Prosecutor General's Office. Since 2020, he has been the prosecutor of the Khorezm province, and in 2022 he was appointed as Deputy prosecutor general/Military prosecutor. He has been heading the Ministry of Emergency Situations since February 2025.
