Uzbekistan is ready to make a fair share of contribution to build residential buildings, kindergartens, schools, and hospitals in the Gaza Strip, stated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the inaugural summit of the Board of Peace in Washington D.C. on Thursday.
"Uzbekistan has supported the peacekeeping initiative to establish the Board of Peace and firmly stated its intention to play a practical role in its successful implementation".
“I am confident that the council will help create a favorable environment for the economic and social reconstruction of the Gaza Strip."
“Any external governance mechanism must definitely be based on the internal support of the Gaza population."
"Coordinated efforts by all parties will ensure the sustainability of the post-conflict process and create conditions for the rapid recovery of Gaza".
"Our meeting is a clear manifestation of international solidarity, peacemaking, and a shared desire to improve the situation in the Middle East. We must seize this historic opportunity to build a new Gaza with a thriving economy and decent living conditions for all its people".
“This summit in Washington is the result of the political will and pragmatism of the US President Donald Trump.
“It is symbolic that the meeting is being held at the Donald Trump Institute of Peace.”
