The Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade, the Andijan provinceal administration and the Chinese Hainan Xintanbo Investment signed an agreement on joint projects.
Four major projects are part of the agreement and are to be implemented in Andijan province. Among them, the Khanabad Dry Port project is of particular importance.
Another project is a multifunctional residential complex in New Andijan (Bobur) area, Artificial Lake tourist complex project, and engineering, communication and road infrastructure projects.
Reportedly, the projects are estimated at a total of over $ 1.4 billion and will serve to increase the economic potential of Andijan province, expand transport and logistics opportunities, and further strengthen Uzbek-Chinese investment cooperation.
