The Cabinet of Ministers issued the Steps aimed at rational use of water resources in irrigation systems and prevention of water shortages Resolution.
In accordance with the resolution, 480 billion soums will be contributed for concreting and refurbishment of canals, and 120 billion soums for prevention of water shortages.
According to the list attached to the document, over 50 canals and irrigation networks will be reconstructed and concretized across the country in 2026.
Furthermore, water basins will be built to irrigate agricultural crops using water-saving irrigation technologies in areas with unstable water supply.
Also, water use limits will be implemented in the future.
