Two trucks caught fire following a traffic accident in the Samarkand province. The incident occurred at around 4:50 AM on May 16 in the Pakhtachi district. A truck driver reportedly lost control of his vehicle and crashed into another truck parked on the shoulder of the road. Preliminary reports suggest that the driver of the moving truck had fallen asleep at the wheel.

The collision triggered a major fire in both vehicles. Firefighters quickly arrived at the scene to battle the flames. Video footage obtained by Kun.uz shows one truck completely destroyed by the fire, while the second suffered partial damage.

The Traffic Safety Service confirmed that there were no fatalities or injuries reported in the accident.

This follows a similar recent incident where a truck caught fire on the Kamchik Pass.
