Uzbekistan is set to experience a welcome relief from the heat as temperatures drop across the country over the course of the workweek, according to Uzhydromet. For most regions, daytime temperatures will hover between +30°C and +35°C, while the south may see highs reaching up to +37°C.
On the afternoon of June 29, dry weather will prevail across most of Uzbekistan, though isolated brief showers and thunderstorms are possible in parts of Karakalpakstan, as well as the Bukhara, Navoiy, and Tashkent provinces.
On June 30, scattered short-term rains and thunderstorms will hit parts of the Tashkent, Samarkand, Jizzakh, and Syrdarya provinces, while the rest of the country remains dry.
On July 1, brief showers are forecast exclusively for the northwestern territories.
On July 2, short thundershowers are possible in isolated spots—primarily in the foothills and mountainous zones of the central provinces. By July 3, these brief rains will shift toward the northwest and desert zones of Uzbekistan.
Wind speeds will generally average 7–12 m/s but could ramp up to 13–18 m/s in some areas. On June 29 and 30, the northern, southern, and desert areas could face gusts reaching 20–22 m/s, bringing localized dust storms. Foothill and mountainous regions will see periodic brief downpours and thunderstorms, keeping the risk of flash floods and mudslides high.
In Tashkent, there is a chance of a brief afternoon shower and thunderstorm today, June 29, with temperatures peaking at +32°C to +34°C.
On June 30, the capital expects more short-term rain and potential thunderstorms, keeping daytime highs around +30°C to +32°C.
From July 1 to July 3, mostly dry weather will dominate Tashkent, except for July 2, when a brief thundershower remains possible. Daytime temperatures during this period will stabilize between +31°C and +34°C, while nighttime lows will comfortably range from +20°C to +23°C.
Additionally, Tashkent may experience periodic wind gusts of 12–15 m/s on June 29, June 30, and July 2, which could cause localized blowing dust across certain districts of the city.
