President Shavkat Mirziyoyev made his first trip to Jizzakh province after his vacation on January 11. The first destination of his trip was the artillery brigade of the Central Military District, the presidential press service said.
This military unit has been recently overhauled, with reportedly modern facilities were created for the military personnel. The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the completed work.
"Our main goal is to ensure the unity of the people and the army. The doors of military units must be open for everyone. Young people must visit this place to familiarize themselves with military affairs. This will serve to educate them in the spirit of patriotism, enrich them with knowledge about the history of our country, "the president said.
The training corps of the military unit is equipped with advanced military training requirements. Simulators were installed to improve skills in an environment as close as possible to combat conditions.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev watched the training sessions and emphasized the importance of the formation of military knowledge and skills from school age, strengthening the relationship between military schools and military districts.
Responsible persons were given instructions on bringing combat training to a new level, taking into account the current global challenges, studying foreign experience, mastering the most advanced information technologies.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the unit's medical center. Here, servicemen and members of their families are provided with qualified assistance. The President pointed out the need to use the equipment of the first-aid post and its personnel potential.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev also visited the combat training of the troops of the Ministry of Defense at the Forish mountain range.
He had visited this training ground in March 2018, gave instructions to turn it into an exemplary base, develop a new concept and modernize all military training grounds in the country. After, this training and test zone was overhauled in line with the modern requirements, and failities were created for the combat training of personnel.
Today, at a presentation, the President was briefed about the facilities built at the training ground. Then Shavkat Mirziyoyev examined the educational building, library, kitchen, barracks, gym. I watched the rugby match between the national teams of the Central and Eastern military districts.
The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces had a sincere talk with the servicemen at the same table.
Then the head of state examined the modern weapons and military equipment available to the troops at the Forish mountain training field.
Demonstration exercises were held, during which the troops of the Central Military District worked out actions to destroy a simulated enemy, military engineering measures were demonstrated.

The President noted that today, in the face of growing information threats in the world, strengthening public confidence in the Armed Forces, ensuring the unity of the people and the army, educating young people in the spirit of patriotism should form the core of reforms in the military sphere.
The head of state congratulated the military on the 29th anniversary of the creation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Day of Defenders of the Motherland on January 14.
The President gave the responsible persons the appropriate instructions for the regular increase in the combat capability and readiness of the troops.
