A draft Children’s Ombudsman bill will be developed in order to increase the effectiveness of protection of children's rights. Such an item is contained in the draft 2021 state program.
The draft will be prepared by October 1, 2021 with the participation of the Legislative Chamber, the National Center for Human Rights, the Ministry of Justice, the Agency for Youth Affairs and other ministries and departments.
The draft envisages the creation of a new body, while maintaining a single national system of human rights protection, elevating the protection of children’s rights and interests in the country to a new level.
The program also provides for the establishment of a "Public Fund for Child Support" until September 1, 2021, with 100 billion soums (US4 10 million) to be contributed from the national budget for the fund.
