The Angren prosecutor's office opened a criminal case on the fact of an explosion at the Yangi-Angren thermal power plant, as a result of which three people died and three were injured.
The case was initiated under Violation of labor protection rules, resulting in the death of a person; other grave consequences.
On Wednesday there was a blast of dusty-coal air mixture at the 5th power unit of the TPP, which was shut down on the eve for maintenance works. As a result of an incident three people died from their injuries, and three sustained burns of varying degrees. The dead and injured are employees of service companies.
