The Central Bank in a statement announced the accreditation of the representative office of Kyongnam Bank (Republic of Korea).
“The representative office intends to establish cooperation with local banks, assist in improving the financial literacy of clients and introducing the best practices of Korea in the Uzbek banking and financial system,” the regulator added.
Today, there are representative offices of five foreign banks in Uzbekistan, including J.P. Morgan Chase Bank (USA), Commerzbank AG (Germany) and Korea Eximbank (South Korea).
