A special meeting of the Tashkent Province Council of People's Deputies was held in Nurafshan (Administrative center of Tashkent province) chaired by the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
According to the presidential press service, Shavkat Mirziyoyev touched upon, among other issues, the potential of Uzbekistan's deposits.
"I want to share a secret, and in time I will tell you more about it. Uzbekistan's geology capacity was very strong in old days, unfortunately, for many years this area has lagged far behind. Now we have to start all over again. I have invited world-renowned geology experts. Their conclusions are very reputed in the industry. These experts have been studying Uzbekistan and already reported on its enormous reserves potential.
More than 44 million tons of copper reserves have been discovered. There is also information about other rare metals and you will learn when the time is right. Currently the significance of copper is huge, the world is moving to electric vehicles, and its price is now starting to grow faster than gold. The almighty is supporting us.
