On April 3, the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Optimizing structure and reducing number of staff members of government and administrative bodies Decree.
The Decree provides for a reduction in the number of management personnel and optimization of the structure of government and administrative bodies, their departmental and territorial divisions.
Starting from May 1, the number of positions of deputy heads of ministries and departments will be reduced by 40 - from 106 to 66.
From the same date, the number of administrative personnel of state power and administration bodies, their departmental and territorial divisions will be reduced by 5,288.
