The President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during a working visit to Ashgabat on Thursday, attended an iftar in memory of the father of the President of Turkmenistan, Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov, the presidential press service said.
The memorial dinner in Ashgabat was attended by the muftis of the two countries, elders and religious leaders. Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed condolences over the death of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's father.
On the same day, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, accompanied by the President of Turkmenistan, visited the Turkmenbashi Rukhy complex - the mausoleum of the first President of Turkmenistan Saparmurat Niyazov.
