The People's Artist of Uzbekistan, the artistic director of Diydor theater-studio Bakhodir Yuldashev died aged 75, the Uzbekistan Cinematography Agency reported.

Bakhodir Yuldashev, 75, was born in Kattakurgan (Samarkand province) in the family of actors Shirin Melieva and Tursun Yuldashev.

He a graduated from the directing department of the Tashkent Theater and Art Institute (1970), passed internship at the Bolshoi Drama Theater with Georgy Tovstonogov.

He worked as an assistant director (1968-1970), director (1970-1974), chief director (1974-1984) of the Khamza Uzbek Academic Theater.

Since 1984 he worked as the chief director of the theater Young Guard, renamed the A. Khidoyatov Uzbek Drama Theater.

Bakhodir Yuldashev became the artistic director of the Diydor theater-studio, where many future masters of Uzbek art study the basics of theatrical art.

He worked as a director-producer of festive shows dedicated to various dates in the country: "Jubilee of Ulugbek" (1994), "Navruz" (1995), "Amir Temur Jubilee" (1996, Registan); events dedicated to the Independence Day, the Sharq Taronalari International Music Festival in Samarkand.

Ha acted in the films "Roads of Fire", "Meeting at the High Snows", "Golden Fleece", "Long Echo in the Mountains", "Diamond Belt", "Bitterness of the Fall", "The Giant and the Shorty", "Footsteps" other.

He is the Honored Artist of the Uzbek SSR (1979), People's Artist of Uzbekistan (1995).
