From June 15, Uzbekistan Airways will resume flights from Moscow's Domodedovo airport, the company said. From this date, flights to Vnukovo airport will not be operated.

This decision is primarily aimed at providing comfort and improving passenger service on Uzbekistan Airways flights, the statement said.

"The partnership between Uzbekistan Airways and Domodedovo will facilitate the dynamic development of tourism in Uzbekistan due to the wide geography of flights of partner airlines of the airport and transfer flights," the company added.

“Our cooperation will open up new opportunities for passengers to significantly save time and flight costs,” said Akmal Juraev, regional representative of Uzbekistan Airways in the Russian Federation.

“We are opening a new page of partnership and aim to use the technologies and competencies of the airport to strengthen the position of Uzbekistan Airways in the market. I am sure that the rich history and culture of Uzbekistan will attract the attention of tourists, and the comfort and service on the airline's flights will predetermine the choice in favor of departure from Domodedovo,” said Andrey Pavlov, director of the Moscow Domodedovo airport.

In October 2018, all flights of Uzbekistan Airways from Uzbekistan to Moscow were transferred from Domodedovo to Vnukovo. This decision was explained by economic feasibility.
