The absolute maximum air temperature for May 31 was beaten, the press service of Uzhydromet reported. The maximum air temperature for this day, according to the meteorological stations of Uzhydromet, was:

Nukus - +41.2 degrees Celsius, which is by 1.7 degrees higher than in 2015 (+39.5);

Urgench - +42.9 degrees Celsius, which is by 3.5 degrees higher than in 1933 (+39.4);

Bukhara - +43 degrees Celsius, which is by 2.7 degrees higher than in 1967 (+40.3);

Navoi - +41 degrees Celsius, which is by 0.5 degrees higher than in 1961 (+40.5).

As previously reported, the UN meteorologists are expecting a record hot year within the next five years. The average temperature in each year of the coming five years will be at least one degree higher than the temperature values ​​of the pre-industrial era.
