The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan and the Afghan President Ashraf Ghani today landed in Tashkent to attend the conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Interconnectivity. Threats and Opportunities”, Dunyo reported.
Other notable guests are the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Borrell, foreign ministers of more than 20 countries and heads of major international and regional organizations, with the total number of participants surpassing 600.
The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is scheduled to meet with the leaders of Afghanistan and Pakistan, foreign ministers of China, Russia, India, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Bangladesh, Central Asia and other countries, as well as the Homeland Security Adviser to the U.S. President Joe Biden, Elizabeth Sherwood-Rendall and the EU High Representative Josep Borrell.
