The President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got fully vaccinated, announced his spokesman Sherzod Asadov at today’s briefing.
“The head of state, as a responsible citizen, of course, received the vaccine. As for the type of vaccine, and when he was vaccinated, three vaccines were registered in Uzbekistan - ZF-UZ-VAC2001, Sputnik V and AstraZeneca. He received one of these vaccines and went through all stages of vaccination,” he added.
The government of Uzbekistan intends to vaccinate 70% of the population against coronavirus by November 1 and also accept the delivery of a batch of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev recently announced that Uzbekistan is mulling the production of Sputnik V and ZF-UZ-VAC2001 vaccines in the country.
