The President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, by his decree of July 30, approved the list of state-owned assets that will be put up for auction starting in September.

The list includes 12 facilities:

  • Lotte City Hotel Tashkent Palace;
  • Hyatt Regency Tashkent hotel;
  • Cinema Premier Hall;
  • Administrative building of the press house;
  • Buildings and structures of the Chatkal recreation area;
  • Industrial building of the former Algorithm plant;
  • Buildings and structures of the former "Markaz Ulgurzhi Savdo Invest";
  • Buildings and structures of Sergeli small industrial zone;
  • Buildings and structures of Bektemir small industrial zone;
  • Warehouse for storage and shipment of metal of Uzmetkombinat;
  • Poultry farm in Zangiota district of Tashkent province;

These objects are located in Tashkent city and Tashkent province, are on the balance sheet of banks, mayor’s office, government agencies and companies.

The first list of 11 companies for privatization was presented at the beginning of the year. Then the facilities were put up for sale in April, but only two of them were able to sell - the former building for the production of newspapers and the Ichan Kal'a hotel.

The head of SAMA Akmalkhon Ortikov said that in the first half of 2021, Uzbekistan earned US$ 105 million from the privatization of state-owned assets and noted that a total of 900 facilities were put up for sale this year, which can bring a total of US$ 600 million by the end of the year.
