The National Anti-Coronavirus Commission discussed the easing lockdown restrictions for pubs and restaurants, after receiving many requests and calls from many businesses, the press service of the Ministry of Health said in the statement.
So, as of August 10:
- for pubs and restaurants: whose employees hold certificates of vaccination with at least two doses of coronavirus vaccine (regardless of the type, temporary restrictions to operate from 8:00 to 20:00 and outdoors only (they will be able to work after 20:00 and indoors).
- it is recommended to admit visitors to catering establishments who have a QR code or a certificate of vaccination against coronavirus (except for employees with contraindications for health).
From October 1, 2021, pubs and restaurants will be temporarily suspended if their employees fail to obtain certificates of vaccination with at least 2 doses of coronavirus vaccine (regardless of the type), the statement added.
On June 28, the commission ordered restaurants and bars to operate from July 20 outdoors and between 8:00 to 20:00 only.
On August 3, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed bill giving the employer the right to exclude an employee from work for refusing to get vaccinated into law. Prior to that, the chief state sanitary doctor outlined 14 groups of citizens who must receive a vaccine to be able to work. Before September 1, they should receive the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, before October 1 - the second dose, and before November 1 - the third dose (except in cases of health contraindications).
