Alisher Maksudov, Chairman of the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection, has been dismissed from his post, announced Shavkat Mirziyoyev at a government meeting on 24 August devoted to the environmental protection, the spokesman to the head of state said.
“For systemic problems in the field and the shortcomings in his work, the chairman of the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection, Alisher Maksudov, was fired from his post,” the spokesman added.
Alisher Maksudov has been serving as chairman of the State Environmental Committee since November 2020. Prior to that, he had been in charge of the Uzpakhtasanoat company.
