Germany donated 10,000 doses of the combined drug Casirivimab/Imdevimab to Uzbekistan, the press Ministry of Health reported.

Reportedly, the acceptance of medicines was held at the Tashkent International Airport on September 2.

The event was attended by officials of the Ministry, staff of the German Embassy and journalists.

Casirivimab / Imdevimab, developed by the Swiss pharmaceutical company Roche, is an artificial "antibody cocktail" against COVID-19 and is currently the only drug resistant to new strains of the virus.

The study found that the drug reduced hospitalization and coronavirus mortality by 70 percent and reduced the duration of symptoms from 14 to 10 days.
