A service desk of the Compulsory Enforcement Bureau (CEB) under the General Prosecutor's Office has been launched at Tashkent International Airport, which will deal with settling problematic situations related to the imposition of an exit ban for Uzbeks, Uzbekistan Airports said.

“Uzbeks may be banned from leaving due to late payment of bills of utilities, loans, fines and other debts. Anyone may forget about his debts and find out when already crossing the border. Also, the debt may be erroneous, the human factor, unfortunately, has not been canceled. A striking example is when a thirteen-year-old teenager was unable to fly out of the country due to “alimony debts”. To prevent such absurd situations from happening in the future, an employee of the Compulsory Enforcement Bureau will be at the airport 24/7,” the company commented.

The CEB desk will be located at the information desk in the departure hall. An employee at the request of the passenger can say whether there is a debt or not. When paying off the debt and presenting the payment document, the CEB official can update the system and remove the ban on departure from the passenger.

The BPI representative itself does not accept payment. At the moment, passengers can only pay through electronic payment systems (Click, PayMe, Apelsin and others). In the near future, following the completion of the auctions, self-service kiosks will be installed at the airport, through which passengers will be able to pay the required amount both with plastic cards and in cash.
