On October 18 an army helicopter Mi-171 carrying out a schedule flight crashed in the Fergana region, killing 9 people. 

The VIII Congress of the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP) held in Tashkent on October 19 has nominated the member of the party’s political council - Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev as the party’s presidential candidate.
