Uzbek IT Development Minister Azim Akhmedkhadzhayev and Russian Mass Communications Deputy Minister Alexei Volin discussed the possibility of launching a joint channel with Russia’s ORT channel.
The meeting was also attended by the officials of the Russian President’s Public Relations and Communications Office, the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (including Russia 24), Russia Today news agency and ORT channel.
The parties discussed the issue of attracting Russian filmmakers for production of documentary films and programs about prominent Uzbek figures, and on contributions of Uzbek scientists to the world civilization.
The Russian delegation acquainted the Uzbek colleagues with the state of digital television broadcasting in Russia and proposed Russian mobile television solutions.
In addition, the parties agreed to hold special forums and seminars for the press services of government bodies and expressed their readiness to assist each other in specialists training.
