Former chief of the presidential administration Zainilobiddin Nizomiddinov has been appointed mayor of Bekabad district of Tashkent province, the press service of the provincial administration said.
At an extraordinary session of the district council of people's deputies, the province governor Zoyir Mirzayev nominated Zainilobiddin Nizomiddinov for the district mayor role. The council approved him in this position.
Zainilobiddin Nizomiddinov served as the chief of the presidential administration from August 2018 to July 2022.
Before this appointment, from July 2022, he worked as the first deputy chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan.
The previous mayor of the district from December 2023 Shukhrat Dusbekov was sacked for poor performance.
