Uzbekistan Airways received the delivery of a fourth LET L-410 light aircraft of the Czech LET Aircraft Industries Monday, the company said.
Reportedly, the aircraft is intended for commercial operation under the Silk Avia brand (a low-cost wing of Uzbekistan Airways) and is focused on the development of regional air transportation within the country.
To date, three of this aircraft are operating regular flights on the Nukus to Muynak, Tashkent to Shakhrisabz and Tashkent to Zaamin flights.
After the completion of airfield work, the fourth LET L-410 aircraft will begin operating regular flights according to the schedule.
The 19-seat turboprop LET L-410 can take off and land on almost any type of runway, including ultra-short ones - from 510 meters long, with 1,500 km flight range.
The maximum cruising speed of the aircraft is 405 km/h. The maximum flight duration is 5 hours 10 minutes. The maximum operational flight altitude is 4,200 m. The onboard electronic equipment is equipped with modern Garmin GPS communication and navigation systems, an advanced proximity warning system.
The purchase agreement for two L-410-E20 was signed in Tashkent on June 15, 2023.
