The State Assets Management Agency has put up for auction the building and structures of the branch of Beshkurgan market (known as the Rice Bazaar) in Mirabad district of Tashkent, the E-auksion said.

The property is located on a 0.26-hectare plot near the intersection of Fargona Yuli and Abdurauf Fitrat streets. The territory includes a covered retail canopy, commercial and auxiliary buildings. The total area of ​​the buildings is 1,682 sq. m.

All necessary utility communications are connected to the site - gas, electricity, water supply and sewerage.

According to the terms of the auction, a modern 6-story shopping complex with an eco-bazaar, shops, retail and entertainment facilities (cinemas, playgrounds, fitness center), business center, offices and service infrastructure is planned to be built on this site. An underground parking lot is also provided.

The construction should be performed on the basis of a master plan prepared by Sigma Tashkent, a design organization from Turkey. After the work, the area of ​​the buildings is expected to increase to 14.6 thousand square meters.

The starting price of the lot is 15.94 billion soums. Bids will be accepted until 9:00 a.m. on April 28, the results of the auction are planned to be announced at 10:00 on the same day.

Plans for the privatization of state-owned facilities were discussed at the government meeting in the end of March, chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in particular, the abolition of the mandatory participation of governor and mayor offices in the management of markets. To date, local authorities own shares in 537 markets and shopping centers.

In December, the winner of the auction for the property and territory of the Askiya market on an area of ​​1.83 hectares in Tashkent was the Chinese Sheng Ke-International. The auction with two participants lasted 15 minutes and ended after one bid of 225.59 billion soums.

A three-story complex with an eco-bazaar, a shopping center, offices, underground parking, restaurants and a green area on the roof is planned to be built on the site of the Yunusabad market in Tashkent.
