Restoration projects for a number of historical sites were reviewed and approved at the extraordinary meeting of the Scientific Expert Council on April 9, including the Khazrati Imam (Khast-Imam) complex, the agency's press service said.

In particular, restoration projects for the Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi mausoleum, the Barakhan and Muyi Muborak madrassahs, and the Namozgoh and Tilla Shaikh mosques located on Zarkaynar street were reviewed and unanimously approved.

The projects were approved with the mandatory condition of preventing damage to the monuments, as well as the use of special Muslim bricks fired in a kiln, measuring 250 × 250 × 50 mm, for laying at the foot of the walls.

The oversight over the restoration work was entrusted to the Tashkent city branch of the Agency for Cultural Heritage and the Scientific Research Institute of Cultural Heritage.

In addition, the council approved projects for the restoration of the Kyzyltepa District History Museum in the Navoi province and the construction of a mausoleum with auxiliary buildings in the Manak Ota memorial complex in the Khodjaabad district of the Andijan province.
